RCS MediaGroup buys back the 49% interest in Immobiliare Solferino 28 for a compensation of about € 15.5 million

The Group regains possession of the historical seat of Corriere della Sera and Gazzetta dello Sport

Milan, 4th December 2003 – Today RCS MediaGroup and the joint venture Pirelli & C. Real Estate/The Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds have signed an agreement according to which RCS MediaGroup buys back the 49% interest in the social capital of Immobiliare Solferino 28 for a total compensation of about 15.5 million Euro; Immobiliare Solferino was first established in the year 2000 thanks to an agreement signed by both companies, and aiming at the valorization of the non instrumental real estate patrimony of RCS MediaGroup.

The present agreement allows RCS MediaGroup to regain possession of 100% of the real estate complex located in via Solferino (Milan), that is the historical seat and the very symbol of the newspapers “Corriere della Sera” and “La Gazzetta dello Sport”.
